Just hack it in, shinies have no value anymore unless they are full odd random encounters and give you this story to tell. Reseting for shinies is dumb. If you put effort in a shiny you are wasting your time.

Its about the twinkle the mon gives when we find it for the first time. The little rush we feel when we finally see that little guy slide across the screen. Its knowing that you put effort into getting it, and eventually succeeded. Thats what makes shinies special

No the shiny is about the story. No matter what a full odds shiny will always have a nice story. Maybe your first egg hunt will have too. But egg hunt #130 day 7, nothing special about that.

I don't even shiny hunt at all because actively searching for it makes it feel less special.

Meh, I just like to overcome odds by minmaxing, the story is irrelevant. I do remember a story where I was radar chaining for a shiny slowpoke and almost ran away from it because I looked away as it sparkled. I only noticed the difference because I’d seen hundreds of slowpoke in my time
