Can someone explain the appeal of a catch em all?
>waiting in grass patches for a good rng roll or bumping into lifeless models
>no luring mechanics or rewarding exploration/quests to find mons
>whittle every mon down with the same boring false swipe + status ailment strategy
>pokeballs are just a button press with rng
>most balls are just +1% catchrate in a certain scenario
>no actual engaging catching mechanics or strategies
>evolution methods are samey or obtuse datamining shit everyone pretends to have discovered
How would you improve it to be an actual worthwhile collect-a-thon? Sos chaining was a neat gimmick, I guess (and something I could discover for myself.)
