I understand exactly why Game Freak does what it does though, I'm not autistic enough to insist it should change that to cater to me and I sure as fuck don't care it's pitching at the audience it does either. I missed the whole indoctrination into the brand, it didn't exist when I was a child, so I can't get the zoomie mindset held here of "it was mine for X years, it should ALWAYS be mine", it never was mine, but that didn't once stop me from enjoying what I got.
