Ban Master Balls!

No.47030804 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
The use of the so called Master Balls is unethical and I call for their use and further development to be stopped.

Pokémon are our friends and allies, NOT our slaves. If a Trainer has not proven him or herself to a wild Pokémon by successfully battling it or proven themselves to another Trainer as worthy of being traded/gifted a Pokémon, or if the Pokémon does not enter their service willingly they should not be able to capture that Pokémon. The Master Ball ignores this fact to the detriment of both the Pokémon captured by it and their new Trainer. How can a Pokémon trust a Trainer who caught it without ever having to demonstrate their ability? How can a Trainer hope to properly train or even control a Pokémon far able their skill level unethically caught with a Master Ball?

If you say "well it's no big deal, they're so rare hardly anyone can get their hands on one", just imagine a future where the technology to mass produce them exists, a future where every wild Pokémon is at risk of being unceremoniously snatched up from their habitat by anyone, including the various criminal and terrorist organizations that have popped up in the last few decades. Even gym challenges and the various Pokémon Leagues would also devolve into who can simply find the strongest wild Pokémon instead of being a test of the bonds between Trainer and Pokémon. We need to snip this in the bud and prevent such a future.
