I remember almost 0 tracks off the top of my head from 6 and 7. Maybe the tracks that were in Smash 4, Team Flare's battle theme, Route 1, and Team Skull's theme. That's it.

First four gens all have great music
6 and 7 are forgettable but not bad
8 is bad
5 is the gen that killed the franchise so it's no surprise it has some of the worst music

5 is overrated. It’s one of my least favorite of the first five simply because of the low HP and leader’s last Pokémon themes.
Town themes are great though.

There are maybe 2 or 3 tracks that stand out from USUM and SWSH to me. Nothing really hits the spot like the best tracks from BW2 or Platinum, though.
