Did you forget that Mega-Stones are a thing? Nobody ever thought to put an Electro Ball on a Mega-Manectric because it simply wasn't possible.

This is purely anecdotal evidence but I've used electro ball regieleki and it does some fucking damage. The chances are high that the speed difference is good enough to do base 120 to even 150 damage with no accuracy or PP drawbacks. It might not be the most meta moveset but don't pretend it's not powerful.
