Type specialism is dumb, Koga's ace should be either Accelgor or Greninja, and he should still have the other one anyway.

It's an honorary Poison-type, like how Gyarados is an honorary Dragon-type, Psyduck, Golduck and Noctowl are honorary Psychic-types, Suicune is an honorary Ice-type and so on.

Yeah, but Gyarados makes sense to be honorary dragon, and the only reason the Psyduck is pure water is due to the fact there already exists two water/psychic lines. Accelgor is monotype for no good reason.
