It feels too underdeveloped. Outside of being some sort of cat, I can't clearly tell what they're supposed to be. Are they supposed to be some sort of Litten-imposter? Is the last stage a manticore? What is the typing for these? All of it is too ambiguous. Then, of course, there's the problem that the first and middle stages have barely any difference between them which makes the middle stage feel completely pointless. They're not terrible, but I feel like more work is needed to refine them.

I feel like it's trying to emulate the gen 1 starters. I mean it's water colours, I shouldn't have to state that. The gen 1 starters all have mid stages that look like advanced first stages. But it's just too similar to the first.

Its a sphinx/football player. I like it as its similar to how Blaziken is both a kickboxer and horus but neither are immediately obvious without seeing it in action first.

1 and 8 are intresting designs that adhere to what you'd see in modern starters, they're good.

3 is nice but also kinda ugly, but not ugly in a design sense, he's kinda like feraligator ugly. I like it.

9 is respectable for what it's trying, but feels to distant from the base concept.

2 and 4 are a good designs with a solid mid and last stage, although they would probably never be a new starters due to their more simple designs.

The rest are bad imo. So I take it back anon, Sobble had alot of potential and they fucked it up.

Nice drill armadillo concept, love the bulky body and simple aesthetic. Good job on the water colours too, its not quite the style of og pokemon, but it adds a nice charm to the drawing.

Thanks. The line is themed after kakigori (Japanese ice treat that many people eat during the summer). Behiemath is partly based off a polar bear to play on a type of kakigori called Shirokuma (pic related).
