Gives a reason to keep some cartoony sprites possibly, though the characters themselves would've been nice to see in that style too.

Cutting the dex woud have been justified it it looked anywhere close to this. How in the fuck is randos outside of Game Freak capable of even conceptual superior content than a multi-billion dollar fucking company? Literally so pissed I need a long break from posting & Pokemon.
Yes, I know programming/animation is not all that simple, but for fucks sake maybe throwing some corporate bucks & hiring world class programmers may actually get us there. You can't tell me this is something they already do.
