In Gen III, when your stats go up or down, it's actually colour coded. Atk is red, Def is green, Speed is blue, and so on. I believe multiple stat boosts are grey.
Since then, they've all just been orange for stat boosts and blue for stat decreases.

There's this pretty subpar Psychic move that you may have forgotten, and didn't even make it to Gen 8: It's Synchronoise, a 120 BP Psychic Move that only hits Pokémon of the same type as you.
Its distribution being largely limited to Psychic Types with only a few exceptions already makes it even worse than it could perhaps be, but most fun of all is that the Eevee line can learn this move through breeding, meaning Umbreon can learn it. You have a Psychic Type that only works on other types, but can't hit them because Dark is immune to Psychic. Absolutely useless in 99.9% of all circumstances.

No seriously. Doesnt psychic resist itself? What would the fucking point of using it be unless if it was to target 3 psychics in a triple battle

1. you could clone pokemon in gen 1 by turning off the gameboy at the right time while trading.

2. there was an EV system in gen 1 and 2, but it worked a bit different.

Honestly? One of the most logical move removals. Realistically it should’ve been reworked into a “typeless” move but it was such a shit concept from the start.

One of the reasons why many Pokemon games only give you Pokemon if you have a slot in your party, instead of just putting it in the box (Tyrogue gift on Mt. Mortar for example) is that Gamefreak didn't implement a check for whenever you fully filled all the PC storage.
So instead it substitutes that check with checking that you have an empty slot in your party (if you somehow get a Pokemon with full PC storage, it doesn't save it at all).

With the exception of paras and parasect (with a double a separated by the s) they also all have a consecutive double letter in their names
