>>47085340the knock offs were made when there was already 15 years of moves, abilities, items, and 500 other pokemon to balance them against, thus giving them more options and having to build them with the potential to use them in PvP, something that most gen 1 Pokemon didn't have the luxury of having. Not to mention that most of the Pokemon on the right have completely different uses than their gen 1 counterparts. Gothitelle and Alakazam are literally the polar opposite of how to use them with Goth being a Trick Room user which sees a lot of play and Alakazam being a glass cannon
