Better distribution, environments look a lot less bland, more balanced Battle Frontier, faster battle speed than DP, pretty good team improvements, and the best story changes. Emerald is held back by Scotty being annoying and the Magma/Aqua plot needing to be balanced better than it was, you fight Maxie three times and Archie only once, and Wallace sucks as champion.
