Yes, as we all know Typhlosion has the same base stats as Charizard and they're all in the exact same way. But something you people seem to forget is that this isn't even unique to Typhlosion: all of the Johto Starters not only have the same BST as their counterparts, they all have the same fucking base stats as well. It's just that Feraligatr and Meganium had a couple shuffled around.
>Venusaur: 80/82/83/100/100/80
>Meganium: 80/82/100/83/100/80
All they did with Meganium was swap Venusaur's special attack and defense stat and stripped away the poison typing. Viola, it's fucking dogshit.
>Blastoise: 79/83/100/85/105/78
>Feraligatr: 85/105/100/79/83/78
Feraligatr got lucky; while he shares the same numbers GF at least had the decency to swap his special defense and attack, and then changed his hp and special attack as well so he at least kind of looks more unique. But it's still the same stats and he's gimped by Blastoise's low speed.
Typhlosion being identical to Charizard is just the most immediately obvious but they all got fucking screwed by their predecessors and GF's obsession with being overtly safe with Johto.
