I played Black when it came out and it instantly became one of my very least favorite games. Not just as a Pokémon title, but in general. I found the designs to be closer to the bad-indifferent side with designs I liked being few and far between. The story takes itself so seriously that I can’t, it makes me picture a child crying at The Land Before Time. It’s just not my favorite game in the series...

I played Black 2. I’ve tried to start it several times. Never got much further than Pokestar studios.

I want to give it another chance, I’m craving a fresh Pokémon journey now that I’m at a satisfying point in Gen 8, and Gen 5 remains my only incomplete generation.

What are some suggestions to make it fun? Pokémon I should use, tips and tricks I should keep in mind going in, stuff like that. Help me find faith in the Gen that gave us Whimsicott.
