I haven't played Gen 1 at all, or Gen 2 outside of Crystal Kaizo desu
And I fail to see any reason to do so when they've been remade into objectively superior versions, seethe more boomers

I've beaten RBY long before OP was a sperm in his dad's nutsack and I don't understand this either. FRLG and HGSS are simply better than RGB and GSC in every objective regard. There is no reason to play the originals over the remakes outside of scratching a nostalgia itch or simply doing it out of obligation.

Hell no. Nothing it added to the originals made it any more fun to play, it just slowed the game down. It has the same problem as DPPt which is that it's a fucking slog. GSC were simpler but not in a bad way and the game moves at a nice pace. The physical/special split doesn't justify a remake that didn't add anything worthwhile

When I beat Red as a kid, I only used Charizard for the whole game. His moveset was Slash, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, and Fire Spin.
