There's a tweet about gen 2, but it mentions swinub was made as an afterthought to finish the zodiac. This proves you wrong, but let's go deeper. Rattata was obviously the rat meant in that tweet, not Cyndaquil. Dratini was meant to be the dragon, but Charizard. The best you could have was that they started going along with it around gen 3-4, since 4 and 5 have chinese theme starters, but then Fennikin shows up and dabs on that arguement, proving you wrong again.
Anyway, I'm tapping out. We could get a hippo and you'd argue it's a horse, or an elephant and you'd say it's a bull. You only call cyndaquil a rat and fennikin a dog because if you don't you'd have to admit you're wrong, and you CAN'T do that. Anyway, look up
