Picking 3 after having time to look at your opponents setup feels much more strategic to me. At least I can try to counter the opponents OP pokemon by picking my guys and who I open with strategically. Plus, the game doesn't revolve nearly so much on switching like it does with 6v6, plus, getting all of my pokemon to be perfect was fun and satisfying. Before, I played on showdown because I couldn't be fucked to make my pokemon perfect, plus all the old ones I've carried through the years who could never be good due to nature or no hidden ability. Now that I can and have fixed all of my pokemon, there's no reason to use showdown again. Though, I miss using some of my pokemon that aren't in galar, but I guess in the next game or whatever I'll be able to enjoy fixing all of them too.
