>>47108857>you're also advocating for all of these Pokémon to be locked behind a paywall on these gamesEvery single pokemon that isn't available in a specific game is "locked behind a paywall" if you want to use that logic; Staryu is locked behind a paywall in Fire Red because you have to buy a copy of Leaf Green to catch it, Shuckle is locked behind a paywall in Platinum because you need to buy a copy of Emerald and put it in the GBA slot to find them in the wild, Raikou is locked behind a paywall in Black and White because you have to buy Heart Gold/Soul Silver to get one, etc etc etc, but that's why trading exists.
Hell, this isn't even a new concept; pokemon have been "paywalled" behind spin-off titles multiple times in the past. Ho-Oh and Lugia were exclusive to Colosseum and Gale of Darkness in gen 3, Jirachi was only available in the Pokemon Channel and from the promo bonus disc, the Manaphy Egg is only available in Ranger, all the pokemon with unique egg moves in Pokemon Box, etc. If you're not actively trading with friends or people online, you literally have to CONSUMMMMME multiple Pokemon games and consoles across several generations if you want to catch them all, thats the whole business model of Pokemon.
