The anime was originally going to end with a T-rex defeating charizard and a pokemon uprising, ash would quit pokemon and go for a more realistic goal after failing the pokemon league.
Eventually he'd marry Misty and have a child

An early trailer that ended up featuring footage not in the final film. It's happened a few times.
The 13th film originally had some vague footage of Lugia vs Ho-oh before eventually being revealed to be featuring Zoroark.
