I really don't get Game Freak sometimes. I appreciate them giving Typhlosion another move (especially a powerful semi-exclusive move) but the mechanics of this move are so weird; How would anyone use logically use this move in a real battle? I've seen some Wonder Guard gimmicks with Arcanine but that only learned it by breeding with a Typhlosion before Gen 8. Can Typhlosion (or the other Pokémon that now learn this move in Gen 8) actually make use of this move in any meaningful way?
