Eevee itself is often a target of, for lack of a better term, pokepedophilia, where it is explicitly viewed as and treated as a child, and often as an accessory to whatever scenerio or fetish it is placed in. And I'm not talking mental gymnastics, "I appreciate the form, wtf do you mean loli/shota are pedo, they're just drawings", I mean full-on fucking "Eevee is explicitly emotionally unprepared for this, physically inadequate, and is incapable of taking part in this as a social equal, and that's the best part".
Umbreon specifically could have an entire fucking dissertation or thesis written about how many fucking weirdo "nobody understands me" outcasts have identified with it, and fallen down the slick, sexual-fluid coated slope to full furdom and coomer degeneracy. I don't even fucking know why, besides it being "dark", and frankly, I don't want to know.
Sylveon has become a walking shorthand meme for whatever lgbt topic someone wants to shitpost about, which, naturally, just got reclaimed and used in massive quantities of porn that fuels the stimulation and sex addiction that drives a lot of the chaff surrounding those issues in the first place. I'd say it was fucking poetic that an Eevee form did this, if it wasn't depressing.
In a vacuum, there's nothing wrong with liking Eevee or any of its forms. However, the pokemon is fucking tainted and cursed. It, and its forms tag some fucking combination of totemic, archetypal motifs that just draws out the absolute degeneracy and projection of the self into it. Everyone wants all of them, everyone has the one that best "represents" them, it's a fucking microcosm of the massive, massive egotrip that defines the modern era.
