>>47114349>>47114673Dragon Stab is good, it's a nearly unresisted Stab, what's not to love (wait a second!). Dragon coverage is garbage and shit tier, its only niche is outclassed by Ice and Fairy, both of which are much better coverage types even ignoring their Dragon utility, and are only ever outclassed on fucking Reshiram or the shitty gen 7 turtle thing. Only use it if dragons are meta, and you have a pokemon that can't run Ice or Fairy moves. I mean, you should just get a better pokemon then, but whatever.
>>47115186>Dragon stab is really bad thanks to fairy/steel being so good in singles. This is also true. Dragon Stab is of reduced value in meta, because Fairy and Steel are overpowered and spammed to oblivion, singles as well as doubles. Pokemon with other Stabs generally run those over Dragon, only running Dragon Stab if there is some combination of meta coverage that won't fit on the build. For example, pulled out of my ass, Garchomp. Garchomp prioritizes EQ as its Stab, and ditches Dragon by default. It tends to want Rock and Fire to patch up Ground's overlap, which is fine, unless your Garchomp is running both Swords Dance and Stealth Rock, for some fucking reason. Then you can't fit both the Fire and Rock move, and not wanting to have the blind spot to both Flying AND Grass, you grab Dragon as your backup plan, since Dragon Claw beats using Stone Edge on a Shaymin or Fire Blast on a Braviary, or some shit.
Of course, in meta, this still isn't done because Togekiss, Skarmory, Bronzong, and Corviknight are going to fuck you raw, and are just fucking waiting for a limp noodle dragon boi to get free turns on, but you get the example of when you actually grab that Dragon Stab, right?
