Playing Radical Red and either not a single boss has let up or I'm just bad
I think the only boss I didn't have too much trouble with was Misty and that's just because I was at the level cap and I had enough super effective moves
I'm currently fighting Whitney (trying to at least) and she's being a pain in the ass, though I guess that's kind of recreating that feel of fighting her back in GSC way back in the day
My team is currently Charmeleon, Lombre, Excadrill, Gligar, Scraggy, and Luxray, and I'm just improvising, using whatever I can to get by, and relying on Pokemon I've caught from those raid dens since they come at a decent level
It always feels like I'm at a disadvantage against these bosses, like I'm guessing they all have perfect stats and EV spreads while I'm left having to deal with my Pokemon with random IVs and EVs

You're gonna have to think a bit of how to handle certain bosses, but usually the way to get past certain road blocks in the early game is just get something that can muscle its way past the bullshit, either through outspeeding or just easily tanking and hitting back hard.

Use status effects, this might require thought though.
If you can count to 3 use defense buffs and recovery moves.
If you're a moron just sticky webs or trick room, or any weather with team that speeds up due to said weather.

Perhaps take a gander at smogon if your move sets are "this has the biggest damage number, so it's the best!" x4

What? the only main character deaths are Corey, Kiki and Ame. Terra will (sadly) return in the next update and two gym leaders are currently stuck in the black hole void meaning everyone there will have to return or else their badges will become worthless. Taka's death is based on whether you fight him or not.

Stop using NFEs

This is the biggest issue I see with people who struggle with these kinda hacks is they use the same sort of teams they would use in the base game.
If your at a point in the game where the cap is level 30, then using something that won't be fully evolved until 35 is gonna be way weaker than something else at the same point in the game.

By Misty you can have things like Mightyena (literally makes the whole early game trivial with Strong Jaw + Ice/Thunder/Fire/Psychic Fang), Breloom (Technician Bullet Seed is OP), any Hitmon, and plenty of other shit

Supposedly the MC in rejuv is some otherworldly neutral force of nature meant to either destroy the world or save it, all up to the mercy of them. (It's as confusing as it sounds), sure, Melia is the "hero" and madame stab-your-mom is the "villain", but supposedly you'll be allowed to choose at the end of the game whether to save the world or destroy it thanks to a "karma" system based on if you make good choices or bad choices throughout the game, which I think is pretty cool at least.

Plaguemon has very edgy font. I can read it without too much hassle, but most people seem to find it illegible. The creator probably intended that, honestly. He left in all kinds of softlocks and minor bugs and inconsistencies for the sake of making the game feel "cursed."
It's definitely got more of artistic merit than other famously edgy hacks like Snakewood or Reborn, though it's not for everyone.

It's up to personal taste, of course, and some are better than others, but the whole shtick of the game is that Kanto was hit by a nuke and thus the landscape and almost all of the Pokémon are heavily mutated. Those that aren't mutants have other stories; for example, the Beedrill replacement is a military weapon. Fetuso seems to be one of the few that doesn't originate from an established species. I think the dex goes to 156 but I could be slightly off.

I mean a lot of dungeons in the latter half of the game are apparently omitted and a lot of random trainer encounters are as well. I've not played very far into it yet, but I hear it makes the lategame pretty difficult without buying the game's equivalent of Rare Candies.
Should also probably mention the marts carry some crazy shit, like ketamine, which gives you walk through walls temporarily, or a flamethrower that you can actually use to kill NPCs.

Haven't played them yet but Altair/Sirius is the first one, it's a Hoenn reskin with almost full fakedex. Vega is the sequel and has the same fakedex but in a new region. Deneb/Procyon is the sequel to Vega and has another new region, but it's unfinished.
There are also unofficial updates called Altair/Sirius Minus and Vega Minus that are supposed to balance them better, I think they're usually recommended here. It's recommended to play them in order, unless you're bored of Hoenn, then just skip to Vega

You know what I found in polished Silver? A gym leader battle with fucking Agatha literally just casually chatting to the villagers after leaving rock tunnel and suddenly boom, full team of 6 with lethal set ups and me with only half a team still hurt from exploring.
It made me so paranoid talking to all the other random NPCs dotted about the place.

to be fair there’s other examples of actual bad team balance in reborn i don’t really consider the cradilly that, even if illegally leveled, i think the idea is it’s the leaders signature moon so they can use it even if illegal, same with the previous leader and electrode.
also the fern fight right before was more annoying than her.
