What if Gamefreak/TPCi said to adults who criticize, "Why are you playing/watching this? IT'S FOR KIDS and you're way too old for this. Get a life."

The people behind Yokai Watch did the same thing towards the Japanese adult audience.

They're dead because they fucked themselves trying to run against Pokémon beat-for-beat. When Pokémon had to delay, they shat out Yellow version and added a filler arc to their series to kill time till GS materialised to run the new one.
When Level-5 missed their delivery date, they ran with the new season and toys anyway, then got crunched up trying to recover from its abject failure.

Being for kids isn't an excuse for being shit. There's quality and trashy children's content too, and even children can have standards. Surely you remember growing up and thinking some shows were stupid. The standards for it may not be the exact same as adult content, but that doesn't excuse outright crap.
