An image like this with Red and blue stopped on their bikes kind of implies a slow pace with character moments that origins just plain doesn't have.
Red is a blank slate, Blue is a by the book 90s bully and Charizard has less personality than actual animals

I'll never not be angry about how hard they fucked up the Silph Co sequence. This is the thing they remember Red for years later, where he storms a building full of criminals and deals a deathblow to their entire syndicate. Instead, the little faggot sneaks around like a bitch and gets his ass kicked. Everything in Origins plays out in the lamest, least satisfying way imaginable. Only the final fight with Mega Charizarderino has even halfway decent choreography.

It's like they were salty about people who disliked the Ashnime and decided to show everyone how bad things could really get.

Origins was meant to appeal to the fans who grew up with Gen 1. But it's way worse than the Ashnime, which actually is aimed at babies.

Origins is mostly fine, but Red's battle against Giovanni was retarded. It almost made Red look like an even shittier trainer than Ash, and Giovanni didn't even use Nidoking/Nidoqueen/Dugtrio which he definitely had in the games. Could've been better.
