At ;east Hau filters some people with his Raichu; Barry's team is literal filler you mash A through with your Infernape/Staraptor. It doesn't help that his dialogue is all garbage either. "Dude I fine you 1,000,000 lmao" and "dude I have to get stronger, no... I have to get even stronger!"
>"muh grandpa" is not good characterization. Same goes for Hop and "muh brother".Hop is shit, yeah. But Hau's motivation isn't entirely just his grandpa. He has to deal with the player stealing his thunder, Gladion calling him out on pretending to not take things seriously and fooling himself into using "fun" as an excuse for his failures.
Barry, by comparison, is just "muh not strong enough."
