They seem to be phasing heart scales out, I don't even think they're in gen 8 since the move reminder is free, so Luvdisc is a good candidate for a Pokemon that will be totally forgotten sometime in the future

this will always be a finalist answer. people can bitch and moan about pokemon that obviously got way more visibility because of gimmicks or theming, but most don't approach how bad it was to not even appear in the wild or with a trainer in your debut games.

yes, you can get a grumpig from spoink, but you don't find any in the wild and again, no trainers use it. it's a huge outlier given how generous the Hoenn dex was.
