Not really. I can't see how the Pokemon franchise benefits from a open world. Also looks like most of the battle mechanics have been completely neutered.

Gonna need to see more. At this point, it looks very underwhelming, even though I like the idea. I hope they are able to make it good, but I don't have a whole lot of hope.
Also, since it's so strongly based on pre-modern Hokkaido, I would really like characters and NPCs to actually have Japanese and Ainu names. But it's probably gonna be shit like Bob and Jane.

No. Aside from the admittedly good decision of letting us interact with, battle and catch Pokemon in the overworld without a cutscene transition into an empty battle arena, this looks like shit.

Not sure if that would be better or worse. Probably about equally bad. If I end up playing it, I might just struggle through it with my poor Japanese. At least Pokémon games always have kana only by default.

I unironically love the spin-off/non main games, so i’m looking forward to it. I just hope they optimize it, since the footage had huge frame drops. I also want mons to get fun interactions with each other in the wild, a bit like Snap, since it looks like the whole point of the game is completing the dex.
Also, since there’s no league, please put some kind of bosses or stuff to do on the side. Exploring will quickly be really redundant.

I feel more or less the same way as a few other anons here; optimistic, but there's still glaring issues even despite a few of the good directions they game is taking. Just need more information, hoping the game will look better closer to release and all that. But I think the biggest issue I have that's potentially making or breaking LoA for me is how tied it will be to the main-game aspects such as online. So far with what we know, it feels like it's very stand-offish and serves more as a means of catching Pokemon and transferring them to BDSP so that players don't completely pass over it in favor of LoA like I planned to.
