>Be 4th grader
>On a field trip
>Start a new game of Emerald in the bus
>Other kids start joining in
>We make a team together
>Gradually make it through the game as we get in the bus between locations or have a food break
>Finally make it to the league near the end of the day
>Beat the league, everyone's celebrating
>Start doing the Frontier, but the bus finally arrives back home
>It was the last day before summer vacation
>Never see those kids again
>They all go to different schools
I miss my bus friends

I often think about the people who mistreated me because of Pokemon. I was the coolest kid in elementary school because of Pokemon, but suddenly it became uncool and everyone bullied me. Post high school, I start seeing the same people on social media play Pokemon Go or have a Pikachu plush, or that one 151 poster you can get at Walmart. And I think to myself, "fuck you. " I didn't forget how you treated me. I'm glad I was bold enough to love something that made me happy while your own fragility on the subject made you lash out. Now that you're smarter, you're trying to recapture that childhood love you pushed away. Do you ever think of me when you see it? Do you think about how you were a bully in school? Probably not.

I have this shiny, a promising job in computing security and a bright future all because of some girl I wanted to be with. This was my very first intentional shiny hunt and I was going to trade it to her before she moved. Now it just kind of sits here in HOME in the same manner I sit at home, working on my computer. I don't think I want this life anymore, but I'm not sure.
