Other way around. Gen 5 and 6 have great lore without being a retarded dumpsterfire like 7/8.
Fleshing out things goes a long way which, again, GameFreak completely neglected after ORAS knocked it out of the park.

i don't like ORAS, but atleast it's different from RSE. there's reasons to play either over the other. faithful isn't better, fuck my childhood, its gone. remakes shitting over nostalgia factor is meaningless, if I want nostalgia I'll play the original.
