havent replayed it since i was a kid back in 2014, but i recently completed the nat dex and beat the battle maison singles on that same old savefile and fell in love with the game again, just like old times. maybe it helps that 2014 was like the last year of my true childhood but idk i think theyre okay games objectively. wont be the guy that refuses to put away the nostalgia, but i also dont think theyre a steaming pile of shit like a lot of folks on here

Yeah, for me it was only a couple weeks ago. Got my yearly Hoenn itch, started replaying Omega Ruby, and just didn’t feel it. Got about 3 badges in and just wasn’t having much fun. Decided to drop it, started replaying original Sapphire on cart, and now I’m having a good time and 6 badges in. I loved ORAS back in 2014-2015, but going back to them just doesn’t do anything for me at all.

Imagine thinking that Pokémon still appeals to aging kids like Gen Z...

It’s Pokemania or bust 7/10. Might see a handful of hoennbabbies or Sinnohfetuses but that’s basically it, and they’re an overly vocal minority because they use social more adeptly

Omega ruby is still better than moon, ultra moon and shield. LGPE is a waste of money so I skipped it.

I have too much fun using the Dexnav in this game and I can never finish a playthrough. I pour about 50 hours into one getting about 4 badges and then I just get busy and never pick it up again until months later when I reset because I forgot what I was doing.
