Also, foxes arent dogs. Your hand waving of taxonomy for cyndaquil being a monotreme means you cant use 'canid'(which includes several vulpine AND lupine, and it's not the year of the canid anyway) as an arguement, and your 'eastern sensibilities arguement shoots down a fox being good enough for a dog when most cultures that know of both (all of asia) view them as completely separate in mythology.
