Hey anons, quadrupedal Water-type Samurott here. Don't let my grotesque unpopularity distract you from that fact that Water starters are, and always have been, the most "chill" of the three. Hahaha!

In most cases, I don't even think of mons in the same evolution line as different mons. Cross-gen evos or branching evos as the only exceptions.
Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur are part of the same package.

Weather ball is a staple for singles. To get access to fire coverage in the sun. Terrain pulse never sees play at all.

Venusaur does use Weather Ball, but there's not really much reason for it to use Terrain Pulse.
It already knows better Grass moves, and Electric, Psychic, and Fairy coverage aren't exactly necessary for it.
