>BW2 fucked everything upIt didn't. Stuff like being able to catch Mareep in Floccessy Ranch or there being Grimer in the Castelia sewers was a lot better than what BW1 did. There's no reason to exclude old characters when they can be utilized in new and interesting ways. I really appreciate how BW2 incorporates older monsters. It helps build Unova's character. Also there being a Gym in Nate/Rosa's hometown is really cool as well.
That said, BW1's first steps onto Route 1 is extremely good.
