I know people hate Dugtrio and Magnemite and what not, but I think Generation 1's design philosophy was pretty good. Even the Pokemon that are inspired by real world creatures and items are distinct, fictional creatures. I prefer it to later generations where there's an overabundance of "animal+element".
>>47150631Musharna doesn't really belong on the right since it's just a different interpretation of a similar concept, and is honestly pretty cool. Neither do Scolipede, Swana or Hydreigon. Even if Hydreigon is kind of ugly. Most of that stuff is pretty lame, but I like Bouffalant and Jellicent just because of how silly they are. Jellicent also seems like it could be pretty scary. Leaveny isn't really a Butterfree-esque Pokemon either.
