Some of the Fire starter stans (mostly Cinderace-poster) are salty that Cyndaquil got picked for Legends. Theyve gotten use to being able to shit on Typhlosion and are upset that their favorite punching bag is getting some respect from Game Freak.

I'd be fine with Typhlosion getting respect from GF, but the reality of the situation is, it's probably limited to that one spinoff, kinda like Decidueye and Pokken, and he's still going to be shit in the main series for eternity because GF hates any kind of change that isn't just giving new forms and new abilities to Zard.
