The state of this franchise is extremely dismal. /vp/ in 2010 was much more fun and high-spirited than it is now ever since, I wanna say 2016, but that may be due to election tourists also from Pokémon Go.
Really, people still love Pokémon in their own ways, but they can't reconcile the absolute shit state of the fandom and the developers, so we're at an impasse. I just want E3 to get here already so we can at least have more info to mull over on BDSP and Legends, before it all inevitably collapses back into anarchy. Until a truly great mainline game comes out that everyone young and old can unite over, it will never repair.
