Alternatively, have Game Freak absorbed by either of them.

Pokémon would be an amazing franchise again and Gen 9 would be a guaranteed hit with modern day graphics, all beloved fan features returnes permanently, and 100+ new Pokémon again with minimal KANTOOOOOOOO shilling, but this is all a pipe dream. It's like expecting world peace overnight.

Nah, they are games with good map/dungeon/world design and art direction on the switch. GF is just incompetent. Better hardware wouldnt even make the game better. It would just expose more flaws.

But hundreds of characters with each one having multiple unique features? Pokémon it's not just landscape and map. It's Pokémon. How many Pokémon can they have in an overworld on the Switch? Or just in the game itself?
