And in battle its next to useless, since Self-Destruct, Explosion, Mind Blown, and Misty Explosion are rare, and when your opponent does use them you will probably be completely surprised and wouldn't have the foresight to switch in Swampert.
Maybe if Self-Destruct, Explosion, and Misty Explosion were buffed again, and hence competitive again, it might see some use in battle.
Great for smashing Voltorbs and Geodudes in dungeons, though.
