I assume everyone here, besides the hardcore 'competitive' autists, like the world and setting and cute monsters
the franchise just does a piss-poor job of letting you escape into it, the games are too grindy and full of stupid metagaming shit and number crunching, the anime is too boring and formulaic to feel like a fantasy adventure, spin-offs are basically dead
even in fan-made stuff (be it games, fanfics, art (the non-porn kind)), it feels like Pokemon's various fanworks communities are way smaller than that of other franchises despite Pokemon's popularity
Although that said I still enjoy most of the games. And anyone else who enjoys things on this board probably just got bored of getting 10+ genwar bait replies any time they try to praise anything, so they gave up and the only people left 'discussing' shit are the handful of giga-autists that make the majority of the posts on this board
