>>47193665Yeah, I knew that one would come in handy, I'm coddling it atm, I don't want to lose it to a random steel move, I know it really takes off later on, and Bendova is the E4 member I'm most worried about anyways.
>>47194115>>47199454Yeah, mine isn't finished yet, but I think the best way to do it is be as generous as possible with your available encounters. Grottos are new routes, wondertrades on, or at least one per badge, events, overworld, or gifts are separate encounters, ect. I've mentally noted every time I *should* have probably lost something but got bailed out by Pikotton, and, including my two actual deaths, I think I'd be at 7 so far. Only one of those would have been a position where I would have lost something important, but I think "important" can be a bit of a crapshoot. There are a handful of pokemon I'm fairly confident have next to no use outside of maybe one fight, or are basically useless with a bad ability, and even those are good Wondertrade fodder, but nearly everything has *A* niche it can fill. Like, Farileon was the least important pokemon I brought for Snoop, I can't think of anything else major it would help against on paper, BUT, it was still my only Aromatherapy/Heal Bell pokemon (I think), and that might not be a thing I get another good instance of. There's also quite a few tricky random trainers in the game; there's a Smogoon in Memes Inc. for example, with a Mudslacks that is quite a few levels over what was nearby, who probably would have just swept me then and there, or at least taken 2 or 3 pokemon if I didn't have Semdemen in the back.
Honestly, for certain key encounters, I wouldn't even say it's a bad idea to reroll until you get it, or consider it an "extra" encounter, since you're just going to restart without it. I've been pretty lucky on this run, I've gotten mostly everything I really wanted anyways, but if I was this far without stuff like Semdrip or Embortion, I'd be much more worried.
