This is actually a really well designed cave, even if you bother teaching flash to a mon it's hard to navigate this cave cause of the repeating pattern and constant loops and split paths and dead ends. I like how getting to mira is really easy but getting out is a genuine challenge, it's almost like the designers were trying to lead the player into the cave unsuspectingly only to hit them with a challenge they weren't ready for, which is a really rare thing in this series
Like hell, people say they got lost in rock tunnel but this shit is WAY more confusing, and flash is literally an TM instead of an HM

It's well-designed for what it's trying to achieve, true, but it is utterly unfun to actually traverse, not because it's labyrinthine, but because there are practically no visual variations in there to keep it interesting. Granted, that would have created landmarks the player could use to help them, but I don't think that would be a bad thing if it was done sparingly.
God fucking help you if you come in here without repels, though.

In terms of geography, level design, adventure & unique locations, Sinnoh is the best region. Last game that made me feel like I was on an adventure.

maybe if there wasn't an NPC blocking the way every single time you try to explore beyond half a route of the direction the game doesn't want you to go.

I got lost in this place for hours when I was a kid and I didn't have any repels and escape ropes. I committed the entire map to memory and know my way around it without having to look up maps now. I had the guidebook when I was a kid. That was a comfy time.
