But to be honest, most of the gen 2 roster is absolute garbage. Those games were rushed as fuck and /vp/ mostly likes them because of nostalgia.

Is "make it a Steel-type Pokémon" everyone's go-to solution for making a Pokémon better? It's wouldn't magically make its movepool better, like how people suggest mega evolutions for various shitmons that have bad movepool.

Ex:
Turn 1, super explosion, 500 to active 100 to all non-ally party pokemon
