You were in the middle of a cynthia battle and never showed us your win withingnthe hour so its even more likely you somehow managed to lose a few times even being 20 levels overleveled. Thus proving cynthia is a good boss, if she can take out a garchomp.
In addition you probably didn't have any kind of item clause and just revived garchomp any time you could, which would be like having 6 garchomp in your party
Most teams in platinum are barely at 50 by the time they start the league. Alot of peoples teams are 40 or 50, and have to use some sort of weird stat boosting strategy to beat cynthia.
I know this because i beat wallace a few months ago at level 40, and i had to pull of a ton of strategy in each battle.
When your 20 levels over with a pseudo legendary and a level 70 infernape of course the game is easy. Muhdrybread does this every week with worse pokemon.
