The third generation was arguably the penultimate for original pokemon fans. if you still liked pokemon then, chances are you were too old by then and people would ridicule you. it had totally gone out of style. yet you held on. you didn't let the momentum of your childhood go. gen 3 proved who were your real friends if they stuck by your side while you played pokemon. arguably, it launched the dynasty of the franchise to keep going and did a good job segwaying into the 4th generation. if you stuck with pokemon through the 3rd generation you were ecstatic for the 4th. everything after that fizzled out and pokemon has been hit or miss since then. you can't argue this.
