>>47184326Trevenant makes sense for Gardenia because it's a Grass type, a tree, and could be seen as a reference to the mansion in Eterna Forest which is full of ghosts. A bulky Water type like Seismitoad is perfect for Wake too. Chandelure makes perfect sense for Fantina as well, because it's a Ghost type and a chandelier reflecting her elegant dress. Aggron makes sense for Byron as well since his ace is Bastiodon and Aggron is a similar typing. Candice having Vanilluxe makes sense too because it's Ice type, covered in snow, and she dresses like a schoolgirl (and the anime shows her as energetic) so liking sweets fits her. Bewear and Toxtricity are the only ones that make no sense because beware has nothing to do with martial arts or fighting as a concept, and Volkner doesn't really give off rocker vibes.
