You're assuming a lot about what a Pokemon movie would be like. The fact that they went with Dick Pik first should show you they're willing to take things in weirder directions. That having been said, I've got 5 or 6 film concepts ranging from "just a setting idea" to "overall concept outlined", and of them only one would even feature an Ash as the rest either have a Red or no real connection to that character in the slightest. I'm willing to scrape the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the Pokemon multiverse, but as it stands I'd pick four things that most people would like, one thing that I personally would like, and then one final story to bring it all together and do something I think everyone might like once I've set it all up.
