>>47191418Charizard will never be a real dragon. He has no Infinity Energy, no Fairy weakness and no permanent Dragon typing. He is an overgrown lizard twisted by Mega Evolution and shilling into a crude mockery of Arceus's perfection. All the “validation” he gets is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind his back real Dragon types mock him. His trainer is disgusted and ashamed of him. His “teammates” laugh at his ghoulish appearance inside of their Pokéballs. Dragon Tamers are utterly repulsed by him. Years of training and study of Dragon Pokémon have allowed Dragon trainers to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even Charizard who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to a Dragon Tamer. His Pokédex entry is a dead giveaway. And even if he managed to get a drunk guy to train him, he’d turn tail and box or release him the second he evolved and he got a look at his diseased, disfigured pencil neck and beer belly. He will never be happy. He wrenches out a fake smile every single morning and tells himself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside he feels the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush him under the unbearable weight. Eventually it’ll be too much to bear. He’ll buy some Stealth Rocks, put them on the ground, step on them, and plunge into the cold abyss. His Trainer will find him, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury him with a headstone marked with his birth typing, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a Fire/Flying type is buried there. His body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of his legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably not draconic. This is Charizard's fate. This is what he chose. There is no turning back.
