>>47196618As much as I hate cumskulls, the gender ratio is like that as a leftover from Gen 2’s introduction of breeding. Trading back then was tedious, to say the least, and to make sure the kids didn’t trade freshly-hatched starters right out the bat, Game Freak made the ratio like that. You needed a female starter just to get a starter egg, after all, even to this day.
With how easy it is to trade Pokémon nowadays, you can get all starters because someone who played before you will eventually wondertrade a breedject. But you know why I hate this? Because getting egg moves is a pain in the fucking ass, and it’s worse when you’re doing it with a HA starter, because it’s not fun wasting a long time trying to get a female hatchling so you can transfer egg moves, only for the chance of getting a standard ability pokemon to sucker punch you.
All in all, you should hate the ratio for a good reason that actually pertains to gameplay, not like these coomers that can’t get laid.
