nah, it makes postgame a million times less grindy. plus they're kinda hard to get in bulk during the story and no one is forcing you to use them anyway, it's the same deal as rare candy.

I used to autistically hatch pokemon in certain spots based on their types. Like if I was breeding Eevee for Jolteon I would bike retardedly until my five eggs were close to hatching and then fly to the Kanto Power Plant so the eggs would say "Met at the Power Plant" or whatever.

And then Gen 5 came around and all the hatch locations defaulted to Johto upon transfer so it stopped mattering
